A Happy Anniversary Indeed!
May 24th, 2010 by admin
This weekend was our one year anniversary! First, John, Sera, and I went to have our pictures taken to have our first real set of family photos. Then, John took me to Kansas City for dinner at Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian steakhouse.
Dinner was amazing. Fogo de Chao is a really great dining experience. They have a fancy salad bar, with imported meats and cheeses, a variety of cold salads, olives, etc. Then, when you are ready for your main course, you turn your table marker to green and the wandering butchers come to your table with a variety of differently seasoned and cooked meats for you to try. They have parmesan crusted pork tenderloin, filet mignon, several different preparations of beef sirloin, chicken, and more. You can have as much of as many different types of meat as you want and you get unlimited servings of their awesome cheese bread, mashed potatoes, carmelized plantains, and fried crispy polenta. We also had a very tasty molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream to finish things off. It was overall an EXCELLENT experience. I have nothing but rave reviews for this establishment because the food was amazing and the service was OUTSTANDING! A nice change from the mediocrity of customer service I’ve experienced in recent years. Truly amazing. If you have a location near you, you should definitely check it out for a nice meal. It’s a bit pricey, so I was shocked to see as many kids in the place as there were, but it is a family-friendly atmosphere so, as John said, if you have the money you may as well not punish yourself with fast food.

Overall, it was a very wonderful first anniversary. I will post pictures from our dinner later this evening.
Oh, and I plan on making these soon, after tasting them at the restaurant:
Thank you Elise!
