Last weekend we discovered two very sweet pups wandering around the gas station on the corner from our house. We took them home and gave them food and water, but we had other plans for the day and had to leave them in the backyard until we returned. When we got back, they had dug out from the backyard and were gone. They were so sweet that we had decided to keep them, so I had posted a notice that they were missing. We got an email yesterday stating that the pups had been found and were at the humane society. Yesterday, we went and adopted the girl and she’s coming home today after her spay.

So lately life has been a little busy. But I am excited to say that I am almost done with my summer semester and ready to take advantage of some well-earned rest.
In the world of Sera, she has figured out, over the last week or so, that she can now pull herself up onto furniture, the side of her crib, and her playpen. So, last week, John lowered her crib to keep her from pulling herself out and she now gets to explore what exists beyond the floor.
She’s also eating a ton of new foods. We have started preparing her foods instead of buying the jarred baby foods since she doesn’t seem to like them much. Her favorite food is mashed bananas. She’s discovered that she really likes crackers and enjoys both graham crackers and Ritz (though she doesn’t get many of those since they’re so salty). She also still loves Cheerios and shredded cheese.
The next challenge is figuring out weening off the bottle.
